I'm so glad I bought this cover for my Macbook. It took, oh, about 10 seconds to snap into place, and has stayed on securely through several commutes, puttings-into-bags, and so on. The leather exterior is very soft and the suede lining will protect my Mac's surface from scratches and other damage. The vents on the back seem adequate to allow the computer to stay cool, even during extended use. One thing I did notice is that the leather exterior seems to "stick" to surfaces a bit (for instance, it doesn't slide out of my briefcase as easily as my naked laptop used to), but I've decided that this is actually an added benefit, since it means that the computer is less likely to slip out of my hands or off a slick surface. This is a great Mac accessory, especially for the price. I bought this item from antonline (through Amazon.com) and was very pleased with their service and reasonable shipping fees. All in all, a very good purchase!

Good Product - Should be a good alternative to Speck Macbook Cases!,

Before planning to buy this product I was thinking of getting a Speck Macbook case for my newly bought Macbook. I even went to the Apple store near my place and they had the red case which I was not interested to buy. I think that's a blessing in disguise. I ordered Macally Protection Shell for two reasons:

1. Its less expensive than Speck Macbook cases

2. I thought this would weigh less than the Speck

Although, I am not sure about the second point (I haven't had a chance to put on a Speck case on my Macbook and compare it), I am overall satisfied with Macally. The shipment arrived really fast and the fitting was perfect.It looked like custom made for my book. I like the overall appearance and they are well designed as all the slots are visible. I would have loved to see my apple shinning but one cannot ask for too much. I think overall its a good buy and could be a nice alternative to Speck cases.
